studio time 2

It is the good guys: Jim Hall (drums), Terry Trentham (bass & composer/arranger), Dwight Spencer (guitar), Doug Graham (clarinet & alto sax), Charlie Polk & Dave Allison (trumpets), Bruce Clark & Ashley Fleshman (trombones), Ed Craft (bass bone), vocals by John Wilkinson and Kristi Kirk Hood. Kevin Jones who has subbed on the band so many times is included on tenor and even in the trombone section on one of the pieces. I’m very pleased with the production … John Epps (GEM Recordings) did magical things in the studio and mastering heavyweight, Mark Wilder, added his sugar at Sony Studios in NYC. I did a good hunk of the arranging and composing, play trumpet and keyboards, and even do a short vocal snippet. You’ll find old tunes like The Sheik of Araby, swing era classics (The Very Thought of You, etc.), newer tunes including Terry’s instrumental version of Heard It Through the Grapevine and a handful of originals. Please check it out and let us know what you think.

First choice for special celebrations

Total silence in a nightclub is truly unheard of yet that is what happened during the performance by Dick Goodwin's Big Band ... unbelievable!

The bouquet of the year should go to .. Dick Goodwin ..

The Dick Goodwin Big Band has an incredibly versatile repertory - from new swing to current tunes, old time rock, shag and beach music, traditional big band numbers of the Sinatra Era, party animal favorites and various specialty musics played with a contemporary flair.
